Through our leadership efforts, we:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collaborate with other foundations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work together with local health care and social service providers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to coalitions and workgroups and work with partners to build networks that may leverage new opportunities, services, or efforts in our region.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engage partners and stakeholders to solve problems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"para-2\">As of 2024, FCH staff hold leadership positions with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctphilanthropy.org\/our-board\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-indigo-600-color\">Connecticut Council on Philanthropy<\/mark><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lcotf.org\/about-us\/\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-indigo-600-color\">Litchfield County Opiate Task Force<\/mark><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/cthousingopportunity.org\/lccho\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-indigo-600-color\">Litchfield County Center for Housing Opportunity<\/mark><\/a>, Northwest Connecticut Funders Collaborative, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/hudsonvalleyfundersnetwork.org\/about\/\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-indigo-600-color\">Hudson Valley Funders Network<\/mark><\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nonprofit Community of Practice<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"para-2\">Another significant leadership effort of FCH is our <strong>Nonprofit Community of Practice<\/strong> (CoP). Launched in 2023, the CoP centers and supports learning between nonprofit leaders, based on the belief that mutual support and shared learning will foster the most durable outcomes for our region.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Advocacy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Through our advocacy efforts, we aim to influence the policies and practices that shape services and community-level infrastructure in our region. We participate in committees, respond to policy decisions, and give testimony. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"para-2\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"para-2\">At the end of 2024, we adopted three advocacy aims to elevate local voices, leadership, and issues: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Showcase the Region through Special Events and Convenings <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop Local Leadership to Advocate for Expanding Affordable Housing <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide Region-Specific Health Information to Policymakers <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our planning process was carried out through our partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meganburns.me\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-indigo-600-color\">Megan Burns<\/mark><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cjcollaborations.com\/blank-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-indigo-600-color\">Elizabeth McWhorter<\/mark><\/a>, consultants who facilitated numerous community conversations and generated recommendations for the foundation.
